Stand Up for Public Safety

No matter the emergency, AFSCME members in law enforcement never hesitate to put their lives on the line for us. During National Law Enforcement Week, we recognize the sacrifices they make and celebrate their tireless dedication to our communities.

While law enforcement professionals understand and bravely accept the risks of their jobs, it is our duty to mitigate danger as much as possible. Right now, anti-union extremists in Congress are considering a budget that would gut federal funding for states, cities and towns. That could leave local law enforcement without lifesaving equipment and staff to back them up — all to give billionaires tax breaks.

This National Law Enforcement Week, join us in calling on Congress to back up their commitment to public safety with action. Elected officials must support a budget that uplifts our communities, not one that jeopardizes the safety of police and the public.

Sign up to join the fight to project our jobs, freedoms and futures.
