Billionaires and their allies in the White House and Congress are trying to cut Medicaid by hundreds of billions of dollars. These cuts would be devastating to every sector of health care, including emergency services.
These cuts could mean less safety equipment, longer shifts, short-staffing, or even layoffs. They want to cut the services we provide to fund tax breaks for themselves.
As America celebrates EMS Week, let’s take a stand for the people we serve and for ourselves. We must stop these cuts to Medicaid and protect emergency management services.
